The So-Called Magic Minutes are a brief period at dusk when shadows gain length and the colors in the sky become intense, as evident in these images I found as I stepped off of the train tonight.

Kindergarten Kids Hate War Too, and there were hundreds at the March 16 rally. Most spent the protest giggling and sliding down the slippery sides of the steel sculptures. They were too busy to notice the post-grad sneers of the brainier first-graders, who were busy front and center mosh, waxing philosophic about world peace and international conflict. And why doughnuts with sprinkles are yummy.

Picasso Was A Commie. That was one of the phrases someone wrote on the sculpture by the artist of the same name, at today's protest of the war on Iraq. I estimate that there were more than 10,000 people in attendance. But then again, I didn't count everyone.

Interesting Things Are Everywhere, or at least that's my opinion.
Can the things that make your day miserable also be beautiful at the same time?

A Trafalgar Assembly. Assembly describes the technique that I used to build a larger photograph out of individual images that represent 13 separate moments in time. It's likely that the bird in the frame on the center right was also in the picture of the towering column. Clearly a rip-off of master David Hockney. I've included two of his works for you to see where the real idea originated.

You Can't Take It With You. Besides being the motto of airport security personnel, the concept was also starkly illustrated at a 16th-century graveyard that I stumbled upon in south London. For most photographers, graveyards are typically tired subject matter; but the sheer creepiness of this cemetery allowed me the exception.

A Little More London. A few more images of this fabulous city. I don't have much more to say. For those interested in technical details: shot with Ilford SFX/35 rated ISO 200 (umm, yes... actual real film). Red 25A filter for the infrared effect (dark skies, freaky skin tones), but without the cliché infrared glow. More soon.

I Am Jack's Breakfast is a caption that could only make sense if you've seen the film Fight Club, and you know that this is Jack pictured, or if you are the banana muffin in this photograph stating it. Obviously that is unlikely, because muffins typically aren't self-actualized. Anyhoo, presented for your inspection are a few photographs of my friends during the first day of work in our new office {see previous post}.

I Work On a Spaceship. Warmed-over dot com is delicious, even if it's been frozen for a few years. Take a fresh business idea, and simmer until the venture capital has evaporated. Gently fold in a sagging economy, and allow to cool. Voila! - a recipe sure to please just about any firm that is lookin' for new digs. Today we moved into our new office; it was designed and built a while back for a defunct internet biz. They never even took possession. Score!
